Garage Rock two piece based in Austin, TX.

About

Originally from Indianapolis, IN., garage fuzz two piece First Names has gone through many iterations before landing on the current lineup of core members Shelby Kanouse (Vocals, Drums) and Josh Taylor (Vocals, Guitar). "We've been playing music together since the sixth grade talent show with a bunch of people coming in and out along the way, but we just kinda never stopped." said Taylor. This steadfastness eventually saw them playing shows around Indianapolis and to their most recent foray which lands them in Austin, TX. where they wrote and produced their debut LP The Living Room. The band is currently playing shows, filming their own music videos, hosting their podcast Couch Radio, and writing new fuzz soaked narratives.

Unheard Indie Review

“Cruising their way through 'The Living Room' on an invisible stoner hoverboard, First Names navigate the Lo-Fi urban jungle with half opened blood shot eyes, sweaty mops of hair matted to their skulls underneath tinfoil hats but with two large beating hearts containing nothing but love for quality music free from bells and whistles and a melody buzzing in their minds.

Enter their world and be welcomed with open arms; be ready to kick back, smile and bob your head along with them but don't be surprised when those earworms bury themselves deep and refuse to un-borrow.

A band to fall for, hook line and sinker.”
